本次攝影展覽由現代攝影家Michelle Lin Braby，以「大自然的邂逅」為主題呈現“Formative Elements”第四系列之藝術作品，之前三項作品“Elements”-「大自然」及“Collective Elements”-「大自然的合成」與"Interactive Elements"--「大自然的互動」分別在2004及2008年已在國際上巡迴展出。而本次展覽「大自然的邂逅」將藉由影像展現大自然對人類創造力的 影響。大自然擁有足夠的力量，影響人類原創力的成型與發展。人類與大自然的互動也挑戰了人類設計的規則。儘管人造結構經受了數千年的自然力量，但以一致同 樣審美的觀點來看，大自然軸心的性質與人的邂逅，許多人可能會認為它不如原本自然形式的美而有所爭論。然而大自然與過多不必要的高科技連結，可能因此導致 格格不入的強烈對比或不協調。所謂大自然的互動之後的延伸，構成的要素為此展覽主題「大自然的邂逅」。

Formative Elements by Michelle Lin Braby

This photographic exhibition entitled ‘Formative Elements’ is the fourth in a series of work by Michelle Lin Braby. The previous three: - ‘Elements’, ‘Collective Elements’ and ‘Interactive Elements’ have also been shown internationally in 2004 to 2008. The collection of images in this show is a study in a form of elements to demonstrate the impact on man’s ingenuity. The force of nature is capable of giving a formative influence on the development and formation of man’s ingenuity. The interaction with nature challenges man’s design principle of the universe. There is a variety of forces in nature. Man made structure has withstood forces of nature for millennia. It can be argued that the natural forces of elements and their impact on manufactured elements are not as aesthetically pleasing as in their natural form. More than one element married by design or necessity can cause contrast or harmony in any medium or material: such are interactive elements.
