因價錢差很多, 容量也不同.

I"ve no idea on the "NACHU". However, there is an article published on the "E-Zone" this issue regarding a new photo wallet supplying by "Magic Pro" in a very reasonable price range ($5xx) with great reliability and low power consumption advantages. I just want to get some comments from the real users and see if it is bargaining choice. Because DIY photo wallet should be more economic than any MP3 / Music Juke box oriented models like Archos Gmini 220 (~$1400 vs ~$2800, for example.) |

我一樣有你的問題，兩星期前去旺角買了一台Gmini220，之後馬上去旅行，把CF咭的照片轉到Gmini後，在preview照片，到了某一幅，畫面就停頓，跟著就馬上死機，但查看資料，卻能看見那幅照片的filename，最初以為有個filename就沒有問題。回港後，把照片從Gmini下載到PC後，發現之前不能preview的照片在PC上連thumbnail也看不見﹝當然更不能看大圖﹞，除此之外，還有一些照片在打開時出現“繪圖失敗”，另一些為看到完整thumbnail的，在打開大圖時卻只能看到一半或部份的畫面。出事率6-7%。
把Gmini去換了另一台回家再試，也有同樣問題出現。回到商店，再找了另兩台新機和用另外的咭去試，一樣很快就有preview失敗和死機的情況。
最後沒辦法，唯有換了台iRiverH320，這機器試用過，暫算穩定。真不知道發生了甚麼問題，為甚麼有人會沒問題，有些人卻出現同你我一樣的問題？難明！ |

Dear Henry,
I already try OS1.90,
Some pictures even cannot be open from the unit, the error message show as "Decoding aborted Can"t load this Picture".
So, I think the problem is between CF & gmini.
Maybe I will buy one more CF card and also bring a film camera to Beijing.

klm兄，我也換了兩次，現在的已經是第3部。那旺角商店的人死也不肯換回別的東西給我。還叫我自己confirm捷成洋行若是整批機有問題才會換別的貨。態度奇差。還說賣了30幾部都無事，我是第一個反轉頭，好似話我玩野，提起就谷鬼氣。
若不止我一個，可以等Archos方面正視此問題，下次Upgrade OS 時fix此bug.

若你沒辦法退回那台Gmini，你可以試試把照片多下載一次至兩次，因為我發現每次出現問題的照片都可能不一樣。如果第一次下載的#5出問題，就可以用第二次下載好的#5代替，這個做法雖是麻煩，但也算沒辦法中的辦法，反正內存有20g的空間。 |

I have one VNXXX (I forgot the name) which is old model but can show picture, play Mp3 and video, it"s bulky but can use with 4G harddisk (thanks god). The bad thing is, if use with 4G, for long time transmission, its screen will be on standby mode (turn dark) and later will shut down, then you have to transmit again, in order to avoid, i have to alert and press button to esc from standby mode. I know Gmini cannot adapt to CF II,
By the way, which shop you guy buy at, please inform to let us be careful for those which good or bad. |

Do you try it on another computer and usb cable? The ARCHOS tech support responsed to one of the dpreview user saying that it may be the chipset problem.
If you really cannot replace the unit for some other things, try contact the tech support. They responsed to my 2nd e-mail (1st one no response... then i forward my original e-mail demand for an response)... I e-mailed to the .cn tech support in the last time. Once you get a response from them, they are actually trying to help. |

I just send a email to Archos, to all of the mail address showing in it"s home page. I also wrote a Japanese message to Japan Archos support dept. (I know Japanese) Japanese people very care this kind of matter (日本人比較注重售後服務).
Now, I am waitting for the reply...

The product has been selling for many months... and such problem only been talked in recent weeks.... maybe there is a batch problem of their production line. Well, as you may notice, it is made in China, so the quality control.......
Interesting thing is, all users reporting this problem seems to using Canon.... |
