i don"t know what role your play in your association. but from what you said, you better not in a position to promote or educate people about your association because you don"t even have a clear concept about democracy or other related topics and a mind for logical thinking.
Again, please do some study about the president election system in U.S. before you make your comments. Don"t just believe in what you hear only! From what you said, i just can think you don"t even know what"s the meaning of 普選 is.
Why you always have to compare HK with US or Taiwan. Hong Kong is Hong Kong. What Hong Kong people looking for is not to become another state of the US or Taiwan. What we request is a democratic election system. That"s it and it is all in according to the basic law. What we can"t stand is people are trying to violate the basic law by lot of execue.
The more important concept you have to learn is "love your country =/= love your government"!!!!!!! The government is only a representative you select to manage the country/area. So there should not be any emotion involved. Please again make sure you understand the concept about "patriot".
If you are still a student, you better go to your library to find some relevant books to read. Don"t simple make your comments/judgement from what you hear from others.
