Yesterday, I went to Saloon to check the price for the Tarmon SP24-135 lens at around 13:30.  Some goods was delivery to the shop.  I asked a staff the price for the lens but the man said he is busy to due with the good and said no time to serve me, told me to come later.  I walk around and come back on around 13:50, I saw the goods were all put from the street to the shop. I asked the other staff about the price, the first staff appeared and answered the price is 2xxx.  I asked again the exact price but the staff was unhappy and told me that he was busy and even no time for eating, so no time to serve me.  I was very angry and left the shop.

Does anybody have same experience.  I think if the staff knew the price and could answer me less that half minute.

Does anyone know the price for Tarmon 24-135 is lower than Double Shing of $2650.

只可以講,在香港消費要有日本或西方社會的服務質素和態度,再多十年二十年亦不會有改善,因為整體社會的風氣和人民的心理質素從沒有真正被正視和改善。物質和金錢是大多數香港人生存的唯一意義和目標,又何來以誠待人?

HEY, 香港都有好多商店有高尚服務態度, 唔好一竹篙打一船人!
而買賣零售是互動的, 要間店服務態度好, 購物者亦必須有良好態度及購物知識及資訊. 我見過好多人買O野, 連自己想買乜都未知就入去, 好容易就因為知吾以對而引起口舌問題.

沙蟲算係異數, 同整本港整體服務業水平脫節

佢地又唔係連鎖店, 自己係老細, 點對客同個人修養有關

可能響佢地立場, 要服侍街客佢地覺得受氣, 賺得少又問長問短, 錢係搵唔晒, 夠洗夠食咪算, 我尊重佢地 o既 取向, 所以唔幫趁, 亦叫朋友唔好幫趁

Whenever they tell you something is price 2 thousand something, you can ask further to them.  

I never have problem on the shops mentioned here.  Just because I am lucky? I don"t think so.  Do they know me? I don"t think so.

我做緊0既公司都係唔係主力街客, 但係間唔中都會有街客上黎, 係好煩架講真, 但係我-地都唔會係0的客面點樣點樣, 最多只會係背後叫煩, 做野係咁架啦..有客黎就要做, 唔想做覺得少錢EARN, 夠串0既話比貨我唔好收我錢丫.

我唔覺得價錢貴換SERVICE, 價錢平就冇SERVICE係應該...說實點真係個人修養問題..

不過講時講..我去過一次沙蟲, 好彩冇乜野, 仲唔錯添....萬成就想打死佢

I agree with it.

If the general public accepts certain kind  風氣, it will never be improved.

Try to look at the public hygiene problem in Hong Kong, who make the littering ? Hong Kong people themselves ! See the rubbish on the street, sea or in the country parks, we need more education.

I bought a Canon 105mm USM macro from Salon last year.  I tried 3 samples and bought one of them.  I have also asked what was the price of the tripod mount for the lens.  The sales said he had to find out and he replied me one week later!  I was surprised that he still rememeber my enquiry and made effort to search for the information.  The sale should know that I would not buy the tripod mount because the price was nearly $900, but he still replied me via telephone.  Do you think the service was good?

沙龍? 我覺得幾好喎, 有次買一鏡一filter, 俾錢前先同個sales講價, 居然重可以平多五十蚊, 而我之前已經格過晒價係佢地最平. 至於態度, 非繁忙時間去就冇問題啦, 你估佢地真係同你有仇咩, 凡事positive少少對自己都好d.

Wanna sharing with you of an experience when buying a lense from Salon, as per the below steps :

1  Coming in the shop.
2  Choosing one of the staffs who was just sitting here, not in work
3  Asking for the quote with a "FIRM" tone, & imaging I was a warrior.
4  Asking for a new one, with a motion of taking out my picket  
  from my coat.
5  Checking the item after he took it out
6  During that moments, this staff made no tone at all, just liking
  a robot.
7  Confirming the deal & paid the value, he kept closing his lips
  during that moments.
8  Finishing the deal & went.


I conclude that this is different style of treating customers in different shops :

Saloon : Treating a walk-in with a cold-shoulder, in dead
        silent during the deal

Double Star : Treating customers I have ever seen, including me
             of course, with full of disrespect, at least
             shown in the salesman handling my deal.

(A case is that a salesman in Forever Shing asked me whether I would bought 1 dozen or 1 piece, after I asked him to see if he had an immediate stock of A80.)

Your thinking to the above case is welcome.

間 o野 出晒名臭寸, 唔信邪中入去領 o左 o野 就咪怨人啦, 明知山有虎偏向虎山行, 俾人彈完最痛快不如當面小番轉頭, 好過響 forum 寫臭人, 於是無補

如果佢整個牌出 o黎 "只限批發 街客免問", 我就話你有性格啦!

Calm down everybody!! Try to go at Salon"s off-peak hours from 15:00-17:00. Don"t go on Saturday, they always do cleaning.

They may have some reasons for behaving badly. Several years ago, they nearly got robbed. The gang is so clever. They are  not going to rob in the shop but follows the key man home at Sha Tin. They rob his keys for Salon"s warehouse. The operation is near perfect but fail because they make the wrong steps of opening the door. It is on the newspaper about 4 years ago.
