No. Portrait films have flatter tone which helps to retain the details at both highlight & shadow. They have lower contrast than regular and scenery films. To reproduce nice skin tone is the goal.

There is no such thing as 原色. Just that the colour is not as vivid and the contrast is lower.
I would like to point out that if you use 400 on sunny days, you might have be facing very small aperture and very high shutter speed. Also, the pictures (colour/contrast/details) will be noticeable worse than those shot with 100 films. That"s why I prefer to use 400 at night & for indoor only. For daylight, I use 100 whenever possible. |

Using tripo:
You prevent hand shake, make images as sharp as possible
You can stop down the aperture, rise the image edge quality |

I usually use Velvia or Sensia 100 with tripod when I was out doing landscape. But I don"t print them so slides are ok to me. Provia 400F are good too but it is also slides. I don"t know if there is any 400 colour negatives which are particular good for landscape because the pro stuffs are portrait films, while the consumer 400 are general purpose only. But if you must, I still recommend Superia 400 (with PL). I don"t know if Kodak still produce Royal Gold, if so, you must try it out and see. I have not used them enough to know their quality (except the now history Ektar 25). |

I will travel to Vietnam and Cambodia alone in Jan for 3 weeks. Any brothers has good suggestion on 100 & 400 negative films? I will not bring tripod in the trip. |

Rolayl Gold 100 is a little reddish but with good definition. However, I used to shoot Ektar 25 most, and very little 100, and never 200 so I don"t know much. |

我認為睇你用邊個牌子印相，用Xtra-400，FDI一定無微粒問題，同100度菲林冇分別，但用kodak就起晒雞皮。 |

用腳架... 如果係自己去旅行一定用腳架...又可以開最細光圈, 又可以用最慢菲林, 張相一定很好...!!
如果不想用 fdi, 那xtra 同kodak 的400 就係一樣啦~~~
未試過 nph 400 不在 fdi 曬會怎樣, 有人試過嗎?? |

The Kodak Gold series are more grainy than Fuji Superia accross the whole line. However, Kodak Gold have more faithful colour reproduction, but some might prefer the vivid colour of Superia which also appear less grainy when scanned. Which to use depends on your preferences. |

I use Kodak Royal Gold 200. Very Good sharpness, very fine grain.
But expensive $30 for 24 exp. You can use Kodak HD 200 instead. $65 for 3 rolls .I recommend you use it in outdoor. And Fuji xtra 400 for other situation.

其實以一般400度菲林來講，Fuji X-tra 400算係最好用，自己用過柯達一次已
經怕怕．．．．
講開又講，我而家做緊間舖竟然冇呢隻賣，結果次次有客要買400度菲林時都要
呃呃"乙水""乙水"咁叫佢地買柯達，有時真係覺得有d違背良心 :P |
