AF accuracy & speed depend on both the camera & the lens. USM alone does not guarantee anything. This is the reason that high end film SLRs have better AF ability even though the same lens was used. |

the FOV is never be a problem in Nikon as super wide zoom and fisheye are already on production or annonued to produce.
from the other board, the EOS 300D focus fast and good accuracy. need not worry on the problem caught by EOS 10D when first introduced in market.

Yesterday I went to manshing and saw this camera. The selling price is $8680. They have 24 month instalment. $8680/24=$362 per month ..... very attractive!! |

該有跌價的空間...
對於已經擁有一套 EF 鏡頭/配件的EOS用家來說,吸引力更大...
七八千如果沒有鏡頭,買多兩支鏡又過萬... |

以CANON現有量產能力, 跌價是很可能的事;
但當面對兀市場如此好反應, 頭幾水價都不會減吧,
應該到銷程下降或對手有低檔DSLR或E-1出籠才會鬥平.

Actually in my point of view, the most expensive part for electronic product development is R & D. After many models, I think Canon may already have the mature skill to produce CMOS and other components for DSLR and no need to pay large amount of money for the CMOS development anymore. That"s why they can have the margin to play price war. So I think 300D should be the most cost effecive DSLR at this moment.
I read an article before and it says Canon thinks this machine can obtain 70% for DSLR market. So you can see they really believe 300D is a good or attractive machine. |
