24-85好用嗎?有這麼多同好有.
但我是用Dynax 5+28-80D, 需要升級嗎?

I also have Dynax 5/28-80D. To be honest, I don't find 28-80D to be a decent lens. The distortion at the 2 ends is serious, and the detail rendition is not very good. Seeing the pictures I took, they're not really bad, but there's something not right in them that I couldn't tell precisely. Eventually I bought the 24-105D, which I'm still trying. The touch is much nicer, and the extended range is very useful. I'm very happy with it. Both 28-80D and 24-105D do not focus well in dark environment, but I feel that the picture quality of 24-105D is much better by my first roll of negative with it. |

24-85 had been my favourite lenses for years
Other equipment I have are Dynax 7, 800six2, 600si, 7000i 16/2.8, 20/2.8, 50/1.7, 85/1.4, 100/2.8 macro, 100/2.8 soft, 200/2.8,
20-35/3.5-4.5,24-105/3.5-4.5, 28-105/3.5-4.5, 70-210/4, 70-210/3.5-4.5 Sg 28-70/2.8 EX, 70-200/2.8 EX, 1.4TC, 2.0TC Flash guns
5400Hs x 2, 5000i,ring flash etc etc. I also have Dimage 7i and F100. I am patiently waiting for digital dynax body

24-85好用嗎?
This is a very good lens, optical quality is very good, with 4R photos, I can't see the difference betwen this lens and my Contax G35, but it is much much better than 28-80D with 4R photos, I must admit when I first use the lens, some of the photos I took stunned me!
但我是用Dynax 5+28-80D, 需要升級嗎?
28-80D is really a rubbish, apart from the low resolution which can be easily observed even with a 4R photo, the distortion at 28mm is so large that if there are straight lines on the edge of the photo, the lines will look an real arc.
This len is shortest when at 50mm, I don't like this. 24-85 is shortest when at 24mm, easy to store.
If money is not a problem, of course, and you may try 24-105, if less money, buy an 2nd hand 24-85new at about $1,500 (remember the new version's manual focusing ring has 螺紋, while the old version is 磨砂), still less money, try 28-85, I saw one in 松屋 recently at 600.
這個lens有何使用心得?
1. when use the hood and the built in flash, there will be shadow of the hood if you use 24mm.
2. when use 24mm, you can use normal CPL without dark corner, but you have to take off the UV.

剛剛新買了Dynax 7
之前用 7000AF, 不過已經壞左.
再加:
35mm~70mm/f4 Macro
50mm/f1.4 (old version)
135mm/f2.8 (old version)
70-210/f4 macro
Tokina 17mm/f3.5
再加多一支而家得物無所用既 2800AF閃光燈
鏡頭全部都係二手. 因為唔捨得買新貨.

Last time I use 24-85new with Kenko normal CPL, sadly found that there are dark corners on the photos. So I guess I must buy a slim one la. |

I have bought the 24-105D recently. If you have a problem of dark corners with CPL with 24-85, I suppose I also need to buy slim CPL as well, for safety's sake?
And I find that 24-105D focuses a little slow with Dynax 5. Any other users have similar experience? |
