NEFとは、撮像素子から得られた12ビットRAWデータと、撮影環境情報や画像処理・調整情報を１ファイルで扱うニコン独自のファイル形式です。NEFファイルとして保存した画像に様々な調整を加えても、撮影環境情報に画像処理・調整情報が書き加えられるだけで、オリジナルデータの画質を劣化させたり、損なったりすることはありません。 NEFファイルは撮影時におけるRAWデータの保存形式であるとともに、TIFF、JPEGについては、ファイル形式を維持したままNEFで保存できます。

ステップ1
選択した画像を開く

ラベル付け、ソート、編集など高度な機能を提供するブラウザーを使用して、処理や調整を加えたい画像を選択し、開きます。

ステップ2
現像する感覚でRAW調整

NEFファイルの特性を活かし、撮影後のRAWデータを現像して、画像処理・調整を加えていきます。撮影情報パレットを開き、必要に応じて撮影時にカメラで行った設定を調整してください。

ステップ3
ダイナミックレンジと色かぶりの調整

ブラック、ホワイトおよびニュートラルコントロールポイントを用いて、画像全体のダイナミックレンジと色味の調整を行います。画像上に直接コントロールポイントを置いて作業を行うため、より直感的な調整ができます。

ステップ4
画像の調整

画像全体の明るさ、コントラスト、彩度、カラーバランスなどの調整を行います。

ステップ5
選択範囲の階調と色の調整

次に、部分的な調整を行います。調整を加えたい部分にカラーコントロールポイントを置くだけで簡単に調整ができます。これまでのような複雑な選択作業は一切不要です。

ステップ6
選択ツールを使っての調整

選択ブラシ、なげなわツール、多角形選択ツール、選択範囲グラデーションツールなどを用いて、ディテールの調整を行います。Capture NXは25種類以上の編集オプションを用意しています。

ステップ7
切り抜きとサイズ変更

画像のサイズや解像度を変更した後、切り抜きや縦横比の変更を行います。

ステップ8
輪郭強調と印刷

アンシャープマスク機能を用いてエッジのコントラストを高めます。Capture NXではカラーマネージメント機能が充実しているので、プリンターとのカラーマッチングも容易に設定できます。

jenhoxen 網路會員	163) 2006/08/04 13:31 Kuan兄：來向您討救兵了~~ 近日終於忍不住試用了NX，發現它會在插入Nikon拍的記憶卡時自動搶先開啟（搶在Nikon Viewer之前）阻礙了Nikon Viewer原本自動下載的視窗，我必須手動開啟有點麻煩；不知您看過的文獻中，有沒有關於這方面的討論：以NX代替NV+NC，會缺什麼現有功能嗎？ →比方NC原有 Open Multi Image Window（Ctrl+T）功能，可以一次開一個file的預覽圖比對調色，再套用，NX好像不行，只能batch？ →還有就是自動下載檔案功能好像也沒有？感謝您歐！

kuankuoyun2002 網路會員	169) 2006/08/06 10:50 When is View Pro supposed to be available? I am hoping Nikon View Pro along with NX will fill in some of the missing pieces. If I am not mistaken (I need to find the link for View Pro) edits can be performed right from View Pro, and i am hoping that is where we can do a basic exposure adjustment. We should be able to rate our files while viewing full size as well. Not sure what else is able to be done with the product, but before passing judgement on NX i am anxious to see how NX works with Nikon View Pro. I just downloaded and printed the NX menu and will do a little studying during lunch. I admit I am a little disappointed in NX (I was hoping we could edit and go from file to file as fast as we could in ACR or Bibble) but I will still buy it because of the unique editing tools. I am hoping speed will be improved, but I will not hold my breath because I thought for sure it would be much faster than Capture. I will go back and find some posts that gave info on how to maximize speed, so maybe i will be less disappointed. kuankuoyun2002 網路會員	172) 2006/08/08 11:07 Re: Capture 4.4 vs Capture NX I like some of the features of NX but the one feature that may be the deal breaker for me is that in NX you cannot open images in a multiple image window. In NX you have to find and open each image separately to edit them. With 4.4 you have a multiple image window that opens all the images of the selected folder in preview mode. To modify an image, all you do is click on one of the images in the multiple image window and the image loads in the editor pane. Once all the changes are made to the image, all you have to do is press the right or left arrow key and the next image will load in the editor window. If you want to save the changes of an image before moving to the next image, all you have to do is press Ctrl + S. Without this feature, I found that post processing a hundred images in NX is much slower and inefficient than in 4.4 in my opinion. If someone knows a faster way to open images in NX, please respond. I notice that I can purchase C4.4 for a little more that half the price than the newer NX.
