我通常都係旅行時拍攝的, 相機袋己經有十多磅了, 故如要多帶一支腳架的話必須要超輕的. |

G1228 有1.5kgs(未計頭)是否算輕？ 去年帶上黃山真是很幸苦，但回來看到照片後，覺得當時幸苦也是值得。  |

How about Manfrotto 440? Almost same as Gitzo 1228 but cheaper.

雖然是碳纖,
但G2228只比G2220輕200g (2000g vs 2200g)

I owned G1227 and it works good on my tele lens but I guest it is still too heavy for you.
You may consider G1127 / G1128 and it weight only about 2lbs and it is strong enough to hold my 400mm F2.8 temporary or in case of emergency. |

i used G1227/MKII , it's fine stable , and higher than 1127.
another factor of "heavy" feeling is how u carry your equipments,including tripod, it will be much comfortable if u use the back-pack with tripod also enchored onto it.
i carried p645 with 2 lens and full set autoextension tube, 1 flash, and tripod , carried these by Lowepro ( amy be wrong spelling) S&W back pack, i weighted it , about 20 lbs, but quite comfortable for hiking in the trail. |

yes, that is very true in packing equipment. it is a form of Art! I also pack my G326 with 45 camera and lenses, etc., into a 60litre camping backpacking. It weight around 20~40lbs mostly. I don't think it is that heavy when compare to side lift camera bag like my Nova 5 with 2 135SLR and few lenses. In fact, side lift bag with heavy gears are dangerous to body and backbone! Carbon fibre tripod is good light weight, also strong enough even compare to Gitzo metal tripod. But one thing quite worth to think twice before purchase is about the lock of each sections, the gear groove is "stick" onto the tube outer layer, which means that lose contact will happen if too much tight force and serious temperature change. AA glue is all around city, but you face no luck in country side or else.

一般而言，比較重的鏡都有tripod mount的..........

That"s why you need a strong head.
Apart from the weight of the lens, the length of the lens also had to be considered. Longer the lens, the centre of gravity will move further foreward and easier leading to creeping of the lens...
that mostly appear in powerful zoom lens, no tripod collar, no really light weight, and very long when zoom to its most tele side. |
