tried the Seagate 5gb in the 8080 and it wanted to format the card. It went through this but came up with an error. I put the card into my Windows XP card reader and formated it as FAT32, no problem in the card reader. Read writes worked great in the reader but not in the 8080. I connected the SUB cable to the 8080 and it appeared as a drive in Windows Explorer. I formated the card in the camera through Windows Explorer and the same thing when I went into camera mode.

that was my experience. however after formatting in 10D, it worked in my 20D

No problem in my 1D Mk II

I pulled the 5GB MD out of the Rio, cleaned the tape residue off with WD40, inserted into my Mk II & formatted without a problem.

Pryed off the back without breaking or scratching, removed drive and formated in E1.

請問一下:在1D Mark II上可以直接format嗎?為什麼我的不行?(我的Firmware是1.1.0版的)!把它先用PC Format成FAT32後再拿去1D Mark II上,還是捉不到!!

p.s.我買那片的型號為:ST650211CF,應該是是DC應用的版本才對啊~~~

我不會再買5GB MD
個人有2顆 4GB MD 及一顆 5GB MD
使用經驗 5GB 較 4GB 耗電許多
電力不足時，10D死當頻頻
換電池也不見得能改善
要先移除MD，重開機
塞入MD，刪壞檔才能再用
用2星期拍不到1.2GB就掛了

4GB MD只發生過1次當機
在霞慕尼高山殘雪區
小小白連拍飛行傘恰好沒電無法有效存檔
