No dust problem so far but my Eclipse kit is ready. > I am interested in your feedback how much you use your RF vs. your > D70 after some time. Not very interesting i"m afraid as i use the D70 mainly to shoot things like motor ships, containers and the like for my job. For more "artistic" purposes i will use the R-D1 and a Digilux 1 for their nice colors. Best, LCT http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1013&message=11193395 |

a) with the R-D1 I feel the positioning of the eye at the viewfinder has a certain influence on the focusing result. I do not find this to be the case with my Leica M6 ( I don’t wear glasses) b) on the R-D1 I feel that the “two images” of the focusing-system are somewhat vertically misaligned. Even if the two images are aligned to the right distance, one “image” in the viewfinder will be slightly higher than the other image. This has been the case in both samples of r-d1 I have owned (so far – soon my 3rd and hoefully perfect r-d1 will arrive). This makes focusing more difficult. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1013&message=11502490 |

samples rd1 and d2h Posted by Thomas Streng I increased the contrast+2, sharpness+3, saturation +1 (in the first pic, 0 in the second) of the rd1 picture in the raw converter. d2h is set to normal contrast, color mode III, sharp. Both resized and unsharpmask in Photoshop. Quit a difference in contrast/DR between the 2 cameras. Maybe it would be better to post the originals. If anybody is interested in the raw files-let me know. I used the same f-stop and exposure-time, both cams at 400 ISO, 17-55 on the d2h, 21/2.8asph and 50Summicron on the rd1. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1013&message=11346206 |
