視覺讀寫能力visual literacy 與攝影有何關係？
請看看網路資源中找來的下列敘述： "The

is defined as the ability to understand communications composed of visual

encoding (expressing their thoughts and ideas in visual form) and visual
decoding (translating and understanding the meaning of visual imagery).學生必須經由練習如何設碼（運用視覺圖像的形式來表達他們的想法）以及如何解碼（如何翻譯或理解視覺意象的內涵） Visual literacy is the ability to
understand and use images. This includes
to think, learn, and express oneself in
terms of images.視覺讀寫能力就是：同時能夠理解和運用影像的能力。這些能力包括運用影像思考、學習以及表現自己的能力。
Children learn to read pictures before
they read words. 其實孩童在他們學習閱讀文字之前，已經開始學習閱讀圖像了。Unfortunately, we often
stop visual teaching once children can

strategies for reading, interpreting, using, applying,
designing, composing, and creating visuals from line
drawings to color photographs.學生需要學習如何閱讀、詮釋、運用、應用、設計、構成、和創造視覺圖像（從素描到彩色照片）的技能與方法。

從這些敘述我們不難看見，當今先進國家的攝影教育是如何的將重心從傳統的（以成為攝影家的需求為中心）的「影像生產的技能」教育，進展、移轉到（以觀者的需求為中心）的「如何理解影像與視覺圖像的意涵」的教育。
這讓我想起台北愛樂電台常講的一句廣告詞：愛樂電台的目標不是在培養音樂家，而是培養音樂愛好者！
畢竟要先有廣大的（具備品味、鑑賞能力的）影像閱讀的愛好者，才可能有廣大的影像文化啊！
