actually you don't need to follow these maps. it's hotels everywhere in beijing city. take a look of their room first, price is just allright, most of them are less than RMB 400.- Grand HYATT is RMB 1400.- one room one night if you like to know. surely It's luxury but well I prefer to stay in a normal one.

right after you arrive beijing, spend 20+20 dollars for one metro transfer card. 20 for that card and another 20 is deposit. subway = RMB 2.- per time no matter how long you travel bus is RMB 0.4, this is really bloody cheap. when you are going to leave that city, some bus stations will return your 20 dollars for the card

from beijing to the Great Wall for example, if you spend cash for the bus it's 12, but the card it's 4.8 ( #919 air-condition one-stop highway ) 60% OFF well if you go with some tour agency, bus = RMB 50.- , probably no air condition and maybe 10 stops all the way, and don't forget the traffic lights could be red
