我個人覺得，微粒感最主要有三個原因：
1) 曝光唔準
2) 底片粒子
3) 芒的解像度不足
用了 film scanner 後，最大好處，就是了解自己的曝光功力，稍為 +/-，一 scan 就現形。
我近半多數用 Kodak Tmax, Agfa CT100, Fuji RVP, RDPIII。覺得以 RVP RDPIII 為幼細，只要曝光準確，不用 ICE GEM，都不會起粒粒。當然 RVP 為最愛(未試過scan Kodakchrome 64)。
芒其實最緊要呀！高解像度的芒會差很遠！但非常貴。

Is your scanner a new one or second hand one?
If it is a new one, send it to the service department for checking if still in warranty period.
If it is a second hand one, check whether it is machine fault or operation mistake.
What do you mean it is not sharp and you can't see grain?
Scan a slide with fine detail like hair and examine the details as compared to direct viewing using a 10x or above loupe,
Of course if the scanner had been subjected to heavy impact like dropping, then misalignment occur and cause focusing problem. |

It is a 2 hand,
2820dpi,view in 100%,
冇受過強烈撞擊 in my hand...

why don't you zip it to JPEG format first
so the size can reduce down under 5 mb

I've compress the LS2000 27MB file to about 2MB JPEG file and the detail is nearly the same except there could be a little quality degrade due to compression artefact. But if we don't know how sharp is the original, how can we comment on an unsharp scanned image? |

I have the same scanner as yours (Scan Dual II) and experienced the same problem. I have solved it by using the scanning software Vuescan and then use Photosharp Unsharp mask the scanned photo.. The original scanning software provided by Minolta is rubbish and it did too much processing on the photograph.

The photo you post can't be opened at its full size, it is only 640 x 452, of course it is too small, but it is not sharp enough anyway, the color balance is also too blue, the sky is grainy.
Once again, are you sure the original is sharp enough?
Ah, I remember we've discussed the deal of my LS2000 scanner, isn't it?
You better scan a known sharp slide for comparison. |
