小弟當年貪平買左枝Canon 380EX，一直後悔到依家，火力不足回電超慢。真係食之無味、棄之可惜。
現在打算買過枝Metz 40MZ3i，貪佢色溫準、回電快。但要差不多二千八蚊，買枝Canon 550EX好似仲平。
有無Canon用家俾少少意見呢？

420EX定550EX？
睇你要求去到邊。一般室內420EX都O.K.
但好多時人都有心癮，買完420EX之後又放。
420EX可以平入因最近好多人放。或一勞永逸，一次過550EX。 |

Don't buy 420EX.
The price of 550EX is VERY REASONABLE now -- $1950-
550EX has the following advantages, just to name a few, over the 420EX
1. Can be used with power pack. It is a must for event, banquet, wedding,...etc.
2. Has compensation control.
3. Has a big screen to show ESSENTIAL information.
4. Covers down to 17mm
5. Is poweful -- GN55.

謝謝各位的意見!但是420EX好像是為EOS30而設的,它的對焦點是和EOS30的7個點對應的(這是攝影雜誌說的請大家說說. |

問題係：

冇power pack‥‥
冇可以調校各種setting既backlit panel‥‥包括後簾同步‥‥manual較output‥‥flash compensation‥‥

請問Gavin兄邊度買到1950蚊咁平？我個朋友問過旺角雙成好似都要2200以上。

The above may well be true for shooters who just use 'Auto everything' all the time and who don't use anything wider than 24mm.

Even if the 550EX is not compatible will all 7 focusing points of EOS30/33, there's still no good reason for buying 420EX instead of 550EX. I think even 540EZ is better than 420EX. The only real advantage (over 550EX) of 420EX is the absolute price. But then 420EX does not have a higher value for its price. |

Go for 550EX. You will happy. Don't try 3rd party on E-TTL system. |

CANON 550EX 好野黎寄!
講價錢, 實際;
講性能, 真是用CANON機的頭上都按一盞;
講升級, 暫時都唔使煩.

i am using 420EX now.. but seriouly recommand for 550 EX due to manual較output‥‥flash compensation‥‥that VERY important.
but anyway i won't sell out my 420EX and make it to be slave in future if i really have too much money to buy another 550..hoho~

550EX好不好就不知, 420EX沒有手動輸出, 對於認真使用閃燈的就十分不利.
亦聞說CANON燈秏電多, 比不上NIKON及METZ, 希望只是傳聞.
用了METZ 40MZ-3之後, 沒有後悔, 還想多買一枝, 功能實在太好.
