i am a nikon 's Fans, from the manual F2, Fm2 to Auto F4, F5 i also have and very reliable, although there is no " L " lens in the Nikon system, but all the lens in nikon are very sharp and high quality excepts 'G' lens!! Recently i have met many friends, they are using of Canon system, the quality of " L" lens is very good and the focusing speed is really fast!!!

but now i still totally support nikon system and quality!!!

Any Nikon and Canon Fans here, pls post yours opinions!!!

*香港至NET超人* 新進會員	1) 2003/05/03 15:45 一世都打不完的仗, 求遠都是nikon對canon, leica對contax, 120vs45, kodak vs fuji........ 就像食糖, 誰個不鍾意呢? 但對於糖尿病人, 食得糖多可能999都打唔切就再見. nikon又好, canon又好, 有支持者就必有其好處, 找到好處又設合自己須要, 自然事半功倍, 認為口味不對, 不如及早抽身, 轉到自己認為好的再快快樂樂攝影路. 就好似我與SM屍, 它的自然, 它的無添加, 看來就淡如水, 加上機身設計差, 反而就設合我那極愛HIFI的感覺, 好的HIFI不就是沒有幾個制嗎? 好的HIFI不就是原汁原味嗎? 那個冤豬頭就掽到我呢個盟鼻菩薩啦, 阿彌陀佛....
ckk18 新進會員	2) 2003/05/03 16:14 I have been a nikon fans for many years. I use a Fuji S2 Pro and am very satisfied with its image quality. Recently, I bought a Canon 10D because there are many good comments on it. This is the first time I use Canon DSLR. I bought a 24-85mm lens as a start. To my big disappointment. I found that Canon system is much poor than Nikon system (I also use 24-85 lens for my S2 Pro) in terms of picture qaulity. Canon seems to be very soft and the colour is not natural. I regret very much to have bought the Canon 10D. Anyway, to be fair to the system, I bought a 28mm f2.8 lens hoping that the picture could be sharper. Yes, little improvement but still far worse than Nikon. The other point I found that perhaps there are many Canon users, the price for second hand lenses is much higher than that of Nikon. Say for instance, if you want to buy a 24mm f2.8 lnes, you can find a Nikon one for about $1500 but for Canon, you have to pay around $1800. Nikon has a 18-35 lens pricing at about $3XXX while Canon's 17-40 f4L is 5XXX. Maybe my comments will invite complaints from Canon users, anyway, after trying both systems, I like Nikon better.

sazabi 新進會員	4) 2003/05/03 19:45 ckk18 Your experience is on wide angle side, how about tele? I think even canon user (including me) is not very satsified with canon wide angle lens... But how can you tell the colour is not natural from a DSLR? Different DSLR using different sensor and they behave differently. It would not be a fair comparison since apart from the lens, the image sensor will also comtribute to the quality of the picture. Use same slide to test will produce a better comparison.
mango24 新進會員	5) 2003/05/03 20:28 其實有些用家己影相這麼多年(照推段由這麼舊model到這麼新model),反而應該覺得器材已不是最重要東西,但當然好的器材是錦上添花,同時nikon及canon出了這麼多年,應該各有所長,以我個人意見買什麼model或牌子都唔緊要,最重要是能發揮該機的長處及在影相個中的樂趣.
*香港至NET超人* 新進會員	6) 2003/05/03 20:32 DSLR問題多出於COLOR SPACE取向, 有些會以ADOBE為準, 有些如MINOLTA則特定一個, 如果原機沒有RAW或由COLOR SPACE CONVERTOR, 單從JPEG就斷定顏色如何, 那可能有點不公平, 而SHARPNESS問題, DC本身都有做UNSHARP MASK, 程度不一亦冇標準, 同樣很難比較. 另外, 各牌子也如事, ZOOM鏡質素應不代表該廠最高水準, 要比較好東西, 不如用定焦吧.
edmond1116 新進會員	7) 2003/05/03 21:24 thanks for all of yours opinions!!! i totally agree that photoing skills and enjoy the photoing process is much more important than the equipments that we used!! Either Nikon or Canon also have many many top photographers using!! and many many good photos we can see, some people say that contax and lecia is much better, but i don't think so, if you have good photoing skills even using the unknow camera also have the good photos!! Many photographers including me, sometimes the pictures get worse, we will said that the lens not good, the model not good and the weather not good!! we always give us many many excuses!!! but we never said that my skill not good!! thanks thanks for all of your opinions!! i know that what should i do!! b4 i sent this mail, i really want to exchange my 24-85mm 2.8-4D nikon lens to 28-70 2.8 AFS nikon lens, but now i think no need to do so!! as i trust that i can take a good photo with this lens!!!!

*香港至NET超人* 新進會員	10) 2003/05/03 23:37 朗老在tv-program上, 帶著EOS. 如果想要好好的光學, 先就是要用定焦鏡, 放棄ZOOM. 或者直接上便直的120機, 你會覺的135實在太貴, 如果可以直接上4X5, 你會對質素有另一番睇會.
lawlaw 新進會員	11) 2003/05/03 23:42 我覺得如果用開Nikon或canon想轉另一套135系統，就應去想Leica or Contax，如果不滿135系統就轉120系統吧，其實玩120重平過玩高級135機重。過人意見。
karry 新進會員	12) 2003/05/04 00:59 135系統相差不是太大.可用不同菲林來"就"就可以達到你暫時的要求.轉系統的錢不如留來上120/45吧!

lawlaw 新進會員	14) 2003/05/04 01:21 如要AF，Pentax 645加枝標準鏡都係14500about，同買部1V差唔多，Pentax 645有好多zoom，成像不差，又好用，有枝三十幾去到唔知幾多，hehe唔太熟，但當年想買120曾想過買此鏡，但後來買了其他，但Pentax仍有很多好鏡，像120微距，140mm f/2.8都係好正既鏡頭，想再平些可買M記同B記的645，但我想645來說，Pentax算是又平又正的了。

爹域新進會員	16) 2003/05/04 09:23 To ckk18 I dont know much about Nikon But your comparison between Nikon 18-35 and Canon 17-40 seem having a little but strange! Canon 17-40 is L len and Nikon 18-35 is consumer grade len (I really dont knwo it is or not), so cannot compare liek that! In terms of quality, maybe Canon 17-40 is better wor? You can compare Canon 20-35 F3.5-4.5 with Nikon 18-35!
ckk18 新進會員	17) 2003/05/04 09:55 Yes, I agree that Canon 17-40 f4L is a 'L' lens while Nikon 18-35 is only a consumer lens. But I don't care about their names, my experience is Fuji S2 Pro + Nikon 18-35 is much better than Canon 10D + 17-40 f4L (I have both systems) in terms of picture quality. Perhaps you may say that it is only my personal experience without going through any scientific experiment. But to me, my experience seems to be more important than any scientific tests,right?
