I have also taken part in the trips organised by the Agency before. However I joined it no more since years before. The reasons are more or less the same as stated by Mr Law: the local guides from HK of the company are green and lack experience. The food and living-quarters are unsatisfactory while the most important weakness is: not enough time for photo-taking. But the price is more expensive than other travel agencies. Yes, totally have same feelings and felt having cheat. The boss of 現代中國旅行社有限公司 really a liar.

I have joined the tours of Modern China Travel before. Agree with the comments made. I went also on this tour to Yunnan and Guizhou, and had the same experience of rushing at the end of the day to see the Wan Chong Lin. When we went to shoot sunrise, the tour guide (also a young woman) took us way too late to shoot the sunset, after breakfast at hotel and leaving the hotel only well after 7 am She said sunrise is late over there -- which of course was not true.
Modern China TRavel used to have some better tours but now they are really riding on the reputation they built up before, and they risk losing patronage of photographers and real travellers. This will be a shame. |

The travel agency has made a 行貨 reply on 23/04/2007 for their fault.
Pass the faults to the local guides. For a deeper thinking ... , the local guides did what their boss said , then who is their boss???? |
