12-24 Nikkor VS 12-24 Sigma VS 12-24 Tokina
Interesting article in the new Impress Digital Camera magazine from Japan. The test all three lenses and they rank the Tokina ahead of the Nikkor.

From the images it as sharp and colors look about the same as the nikkor.

Nearly 1/2 the price is the kicker!!!

Anyone own this lens??

I"d love to see a direct comparison of all three. In the link above the Tokina beats the Nikon in sharpness at all three tested focal lengths. As a matter of fact at 18mm and 24mm the Nikon isn"t even close IMO.

WHEN WIDE OPEN(12mm, 18mm), seems Tokina better / sharper then Nokin, esp when 24mm(f/4, wide open). Nikon shows its weakest part of this len. (look at the "CSP" logo, and the little camera sign on the left hand door)

if Nikon 12-24 is good, then Tokina is much better and cheaper.

firefly-Lee 網路會員	5) 2005/01/18 09:42 12-24 DX除了在12端的銳利程度不夠以外，在18以後都很銳利，上周日自己拿12-24DX和20mm F2.8做測試比較，發現20mm定焦鏡竟然輸了，很令人訝異！而且顏色對比都是12-24好，找機會再測試12-24的24端和17-35的24端，比較一下好了！不過說真的，12-24 DX這一顆最主要的就是用來補足18以下的廣角，可是銳利度即使光圈縮到F8都還是不夠好，有機會想看看Tokina那一棵的解析度是否真的很好！
meowmeow2 網路會員	6) 2005/01/18 09:52 國外的測試...12 24 的24 端是贏17 35 的.. 大陸的測試24 120VR 都贏17 35 了@@ 變焦鏡的時代來臨 24mm f2.8 那顆..與17 55f2.8 比也是輸.... DX鏡的效果真是棒阿...
